Open iT recently announced the release of its Software Suite Version 6.4, June 2015. This latest version offers new features and functions for the Open iT reporting tools Reporting Server and Analysis Server, as well as for the StorageAnalyzer, LicenseAnalyzer and LicenseOptimizer modules.
Open iT Reporting Server is now equipped with a mechanism to distinguish between true and false denials. The new License Application Version Report provides information on both feature version and application version. Support for token-based licenses for FlexNet manager has been expanded to include IBM token format as well as cost and count data. There are also improvements on the Map Maintainer, which include the ability to define an explicit default for each group type when defining the map output and the ability for a user to appear in multiple defaults. The web interface has also been enhanced with the addition of pop-up descriptions for the classification field.
To easily manage licenses and create reports on license compliance, the Analysis Server, which is part of the Open iT Base Enterprise version, now has the ability to import license entitlement (usage rights) from Microsoft, Adobe and Autodesk, and even from applications that do not require license managers. Administrators now have additional capabilities to add, edit and delete roles in the administration page. Roles Permission Configuration has been added as well for more ease and control in Analysis Server reporting. And to make the organization of dashboards easier, users can now create specific dashboard folders and sort the License Monitor real-time view by different criteria, such as Distinct Users, Name or License Expiration.
StorageAnalyzer now has the capability to scan multiple file systems at the same time. LicenseOptimizer Standalone Edition now has added support for the LM-X license manager, and LicenseAnalyzer now supports Peloton application software.
