How this is calculated
For each application: annual spend = seats × annual cost per seat. Idle spend = annual spend × idle rate. Recoverable per year = idle spend × recoverable share. The three-year figure multiplies the annual recoverable by three, since idle seats are renewed each cycle.
All rates are your inputs, not Open iT claims. The Petrel preset is an illustrative list price Open iT has seen (up to about $200,000 per seat per year) and is fully editable. Your real idle rate is measured, not assumed, once Open iT is connected.

Which power applications can Open iT monitor?
Coverage depends on the license manager. Where a manager is not directly supported, usage can be metered from the application itself. Confirm ETAP, NEPLAN, and PSCAD support for your environment.
Is this employee monitoring?
No. Anonymization gives population-level idle analysis without identifying individuals.
